Wanderlust Kashmir is the northernmost region in the Indian subcontinent. Kashmir is known as “Paradise on Earth”. It is known for its beauty, snow covered mountains, green valleys, lakes and food. Kashmir valley is surrounded by ranges of the Himalayas. The views over here are just breathtaking one must visit over here at least once in a lifetime. The Weather over here is generally cold. You can visit over here in summers to enjoy the snow and get relief from the heat. There are various tourist spots that you can visit over here, one of them is “Dal Lake” you can do Shikara ride over here and enjoy the view of the lake also you can do shopping and have local snacks while doing the shikara ride. you can also do snow activities like skiing, sledge ride and much more…..
I am keen to do traveling I love exploring different places and its culture but its not always possible to cover all the places in a single trip. I have visited Kashmir when I was kid so I was planning to visit over there for a long time after figuring out budget and everything I recently visited Kashmir along with my family we took direct flight to Kashmir and landed at Srinagar Airport.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Upon arrival we booked a cab which took us to the Dal lake which is located in Srinagar. We booked a house boat over here for a night stay the interior of the house boat was just fabulous, we were welcomed with the local tea known as “Kahwa” it tasted awesome. It was 6 in the evening we decided to take a shikara (boat ride) to explore the lake, there are multiple shops inside the lake itself from clothing to food and even many people reside over there. Then we did some shopping inside the lake it started to get dark outside so we went back to our house boat enjoyed the local cuisine and slept.
Day 2: We had pre-booked a car to travel to Pahalgam. On the way we visited the saffron fields located at Pampore, then we visited Avantipur Ruins. After reaching Pahalgam checked in into our hotel and then visited Mall Road of Pahalgam. In the evening we visited the local market.
Day 3: Today we visited Betaab valley and clicked some pictures over here and enjoyed. The view over here was mesmerising. Then we went to Chandanwari the beauty of this place was stunning we enjoyed in the snow over here. Then we proceeded back to Srinagar on the way we visited Apple valley.
Day 4: We went to Gulmarg today over here we enjoy the famous “Gondola Ride” to reach at the top of the mountain, then we did snow activities like skiing and sledge ride and had our time enjoying and playing in the snow we enjoyed a lot over here. After that we went back to Srinagar we went for shopping afterwards because we had free time and had rest of the day for leisure.
Day 5: Today we planned a small trek to Shankaracharya Hill. Then in the afternoon we visited Nehru Park and enjoyed clicking pictures over here in traditional Kashmiri outfits. Then we visited Shalimar & Nishat Bagh and enjoyed the view with different variety of flowers over here. (If your are visiting over here in the month of March then you can visit Tulip Garden).
Day 6: Today was the last day of our trip we were going to miss the beauty, weather and views over here. Before leaving we visited “Chesham Shahi Garden” and departed to airport from there. Overall the experience was fabulous and awesome we went back home with lots of good memories. I would recommend you to visit over here as soon as possible. I can’t wait to visit over here again.
